Sierra Nevada Pale Ale (what the Internet thinks)

Sierra Pale Ale, there is nothing more important

This is an appreciation post for Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. I feel like I can’t have a beer geeky blog without more acknowledgment of the greatest of all time Pale Ale.

Yes, to many of us Sierra may taste outdated. But it is the greatest “outdated” taste of all time and the best palate-reset beer in the business.

And as we are about to see, as Craft Beer goes, so goes Sierra.

Sierra Pale is a great barometer for how beer/Craft Beer is going. Just look at the search volume for Sierra and it totally goes along with how popular Craft Beer has been in the past fifteen years

Yes, you read that chart right, we are at our lowest level of the Internet searching for things related to Sierra Nevada Pale. What a sad world we live in.

The Layout: What The Day Of Drinking May Bring

Today’s drinking possibilities

These are the beers up for drinking today. I will (hopefully) not be drinking all of them, but they are the ones in play.

I did a beer run yesterday so I am flush with possibilities.

Activities scheduled:

  • Swimming. Upper 90s today, might be the last Sunday I would want to get in the water as pool season winds down.
  • Rams vs. Cards at 1:00 PST. My Rams look like they are still hungover from their Super Bowl victory. I think they will lose today.
  • House Of The Dragon watch. It will be the time jump episode as there will be several new actors playing established character rolls. It will be interesting to see how long it takes to get used to that. Great season so far.

The Pales are the most likely to go. The “Fresh To Death” is probably going to start things off as it is a 5.6 alc.

Humble Sea “Boatload Of Citra” is going down too as it also looks like a good day-drinker.

Let’s hope I stay lucid for House of the Dragon tonight, that is the most likely time for the Pliny.

Cheers to you and your drinking possibilities today!

I Saw A Bird While Drinking A Pale Ale

“The Local” – Sacramento Style Pale Ale from Flatland Brewing

I am starting a new feature on the blog: Something I did while drinking a beer. (It could use a better name)

Well, I guess it’s sort of a spin-off of my Ambient Reviews.

Anyway, these are things that happened while drinking a Pale from Elk Grove’s Flatland Brewing called “The Local – Sacramento Style Pale”.

I was sitting in my backyard and…

I saw several birds. There was a sparrow and a bluejay that ate some food from my bird feeder.

I listened to the PA of this high school baseball game being played a half-block away:

Listened to a hotrod rumble through my neighborhood.

Saw a squirrel bury something in my planter bed.

Agreed on how nice a day it is:

Earned the “To Go Level 48” badge while checking this beer in on Untappd.

Admired my new Brumate with painted metal that makes it feel like a car finish.

The Hopsator Trio from Brumate is satisfying to hold

And that takes us to the end of the beer. Thanks for reading! ?✌️
