A lot of brewers grumble about Untappd and Untappd users. They get mad at the bad ratings. Get mad at the “One star, not my style” guy (who DOES suck, mind you). It may lead them to cry out “What is even the point of Untappd!?” The point of Untappd, to me, is this:
You’re not though. You just are not. Untappd reflects how everyone thinks a beer tastes. If Allagash White is ranked 3.50 THAN IT’S FUCKING 3.50. An Untappd ranking (with some exceptions) reflects how a beer tastes in the real world, not how good a beer is to a beer judge.
